An inedited exhibition...
“The art of bonsai in the stamps”: during the days of the manifestation it will come arranged a philatelic exbibition that comprises all the stamps emitted in the various States, connected to the bonsai world. Given by Lorenzo Sonzini.

Spectacle

Technical demonstrations of bonsai and workshop, to the Crespi Cup the greatest professionals of the field: two extraordinary bonsai masters, Toshio Ishii from Japan - assisted by Terasawa Tatsuya - and Cheng Cheng Kung coming from Taiwan, will attempt in spectacular technical demonstrations. Two great schools, with the same millenarian tradition, will be confronted during the Crespi Cup 2004. Moreover, Italian experts will hold conferences and didactic laboratories free for the enthusiasts.

Lectures
on the suiseki: Jean Michel Guillaumond
vice-president E.S.A. (European Suiseki Association), among the most known experts in the field of stones, will give a lecture on the Eastern and Western suiseki, revealing to us which are the similitudines and which are the diversities.

The Eastern painting on porcelain and on rice paper
The Eastern painting on porcelain and on rice paper is realized, with special colours and reliefs made up of sea-weed, using the ancient methods of the eastern masters. Famouses decorators artists of the Hobbyceram International School of Decorative Arts, will paint oriental subjects linked to the nature on fine porcelains. Branches of Cherry-tree, Camellia and flexuouses Bambùs will take life also on rice paper.

Shin Wa - Shiatsu point
A really refreshment point for those who need to relax, twenty minutes of antistress massage that gives energy in order to return in top form. Given by the Italian Academy Shiatsu - Do and Treatments Centres Shin Wa.

The Chinese cooking and the art to carve flowers with vegetables
Chinese cooking, among the best ones to the world, has a long culinary tradition that introduces one fusion of culinary science (the cooking techniques), culinary philosophy (the choice of the ingredients) and culinary art (the preparation, the composition and the presentation). Very important it is also the presentation of the food that, in the more important occasions, is decorated with vegetables and fruit carved in shapes linked to the vegetal and animal world. Valerio Lang Fei will introduce us in this fascinating world.

Zen Gardens
Wonderful, magical and evocative garden zen is only some of the used adjectives in order to express the emotion of who, for the first time, sees a garden zen, a contemplation garden where it is not possible to accede. The garden zen, that embraces obviously the characteristics of the zen art, is based itsself on the asymmetry, the simplicity, the spontaneous nature and just for its character of essentiality favours the conditions of the inner search, that allows to the body and to the mind of being in the right disposition in order to get to the zen. Alessandra Bonecchi, Maurizio Rolfi and Alberto Lavazza will embrace this topic with lectures, demonstrations and projectations.

 Taiko & Co: concert for percussion instruments
The Prisma Duo was born in the 2002 from the meeting of  two musicians: Cristiano Pirola and Chieko Umezu. Both the members have matured a long experience in orchestral field in which they have had way to play with the greatest conductors among which Abbado, Muti, Chailly, Haitink, Prêtre, Chung… The formation will propose a repertory for percussion instruments that get to the more various musical kinds, passing above all for Japanese traditional musics through the use of taiko - the traditional drum.

Daito-ryu aikijujutsu
The Daito-ryu aikijujutsu is an ancient and noble school of bujutsu. The 36° Soke, Takeda Tokimune (1915-1993), decided to introduce these wonderful techniques of defense only in 1990, accepting the first foreign students and giving therefore the start to the spread in the world of the Daito-ryu aikijujutsu. This school has succeeded to hand down in the secret, for nearly a millenium, the techniques of combat of several disciplines among which the bow, the sword, the lance, the halberd and the hand to hand, through the head school (Soke), all members of the Takeda family. Antonino Certa of the Daitokan Italy of Milan will give a demonstration of this ancient and noble martial art.
 

Lantern of paper & Shodo - the Japanese art of calligraphy
During the Crespi Cup there will be a demonstration-laboratory about how build small lanterns in wood and paper of rice, illuminated by candles, given by Luisa Canovi. At the same time will take place a laboratory of Japanese writing at ink, in order to learn to write one’s name with the ideograms, given by Maki Yoshimori.
 

Katana
The martial arts, through an evolutional millenarian process, were characterized, thanks to the military caste of the middles ages samurai, like art of the sword. For a samurai a sword it was a really object of cult, venerated for its extraordinary beauty and its ancient origins. The art of combat with the sword has been handed down until our times, through the practised of the martial arts. The M° Francesco Pappalardo together with the students of the Kankudojo of Parabiago (Mi), will hold one demonstration on the art to handle the Katana.
 

Ninjitsu
Call also “art of invisibility", the Ninjitsu is a practise that founded its origins in the Japanese Middle Ages and that it is adopted still today from many special groups in the world. It is born from a sect of monks pursued, the Yamabushi, that was forced to take refuge on the mountains, divided in small groups in order to escape to the persecutions. For defend themselves from their enemies, they codified the martial art of the Ninjitsu, that consisted in a series of new techniques in the field of the combat and the survival. The techniques of the ninja, hidden until little time ago, represent today one of the more effecacious methods in the field of the combat. The M° Giulietto Bronzato together with the students of the Kankudojo of Parabiago (Mi), will hold a demonstration of Ninjitsu.

Tasting of Oriental teas

The tea is certainly the emblem of the oriental cordiality, able to satisfy also the spiritual needs. Through a great expert of this ancient drink, Piero Muscio, one will go to the discovery of the tastes and of the properties of the various teas coming from China and Japan, but also from all the Orient.

 

Chinese and Japanese tea ceremony
An exclusive representation of these two ancient oriental arts, will see at the same time engages the Japanese mistress of the tea Makiko Wakita, of the Omote-senke school, Alessandra Bonecchi, expert in oriental philosophy, and Livio Zanini, teacher of Chinese language at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice. The tea ceremony: a simple and essential rite, but particularly involving, is been born in Orient in order to satisfy the need of the man to find again the own inner tranquillity.
